Our contribution to your development Developing our employees is a joint venture, resting on a number of shoulders. First of all, we regard personnel development as a managerial task. We expect our senior management staff to be able to identify the capabilities of their employees and to support them to best effect in developing those capabilities. Secondly, at SIG Combibloc each employee also takes joint responsibility for his or her own further training. We want to have achievement-focused employees who are open and keen to learn, who think ahead and speak up if they need support to develop their skills. In addition, our global Personnel Development programmes offer employees and management a range of development tools and options for their progression. Induction programme To make their entry to the company easier, all new employees receive a structured induction programme consisting of workshops and individual orientation and training plans. This allows newcomers to quickly build up a network at SIG Combibloc. Feedback In addition, there is an annual appraisal interview. In this interview, our employees receive structured feedback from their manager using our competence model. At the same time, each employee has the opportunity to give their manager some feedback, and both then work together to identify measures for development. Another personnel development instrument we offer is our 360° feedback for senior managers. This process enables management staff to obtain regular feedback from their team, colleagues and superiors, allowing them to reflect on their own management skills. |
